The Path Ahead of Me

The path ahead of me is winding,
Still I wander on.
Paths of faster travel crisscross,
But I stick to my own.
People fast and people slow,
Pass me as I go.
Still I keep my pace.
People coming from that place,
Pass me as I go.
But forward I move on.
I do not know where I’m going. Only where I’ve been.
I do not know when I’ll get there,
But I am headed where they have been.
When finally I get there, my curiosity appeased,
Will I simply turn around, or continue on at ease?
